Midyear Meeting will be held on 23-24 Third Month (March) 2024. Friends have the option to attend online and in person at Bear Creek Meeting near Earlham, Iowa. The Midyear Meeting Committee has prepared registration materials that include information about the resource person Lee Tesdell, youth activities, lodging, preventing the spread of Covid, and more.
Lee Tesdell of Ames Meeting will be this year’s resource person. He’s been reflecting on the selected responses on Query 10, Environmental Responsibility, from IYMC’s 2022 annual sessions. You can view the responses here: https://bit.ly/2022IYMC_response_Query10. Lee has been considering changes in agriculture over the centuries in Iowa from native people’s farming to today. In particular, he notes his own immigrant family legacy in Iowa & his experience on the Scattergood School Farm 1964-1968.
