Mission Statement

Scattergood Friends Schoolchallenges students with a college-preparatory curriculum, farm experience, ashared work program, and community living in the spirit of Quaker faith.

Present: Ruth Dawson, Debbie Galusha (clerk), LucyHansen, Phil Henderson, Russ Leckband, Callie Marsh, Sylvia Sanford, DoyleWilson, Bob Winchell, Allan Winder

Absent: George Bergus, Rebecca Bergus, Claire Cumbie-Drake,Karen Greenler, Lorene Ludy, Dan Schlitt

Theclerk opened the meeting with a short time of worship near the appointed time.

We approve changing the tuition remission for staffchildren. We will charge full and five day boarding students 15% of the fulltuition, and day students 15% of day tuition.

Weagree to meet at 9:30 a.m. on 2 March 2012 at the Des Moines ValleyMeetinghouse. We will attempt to finish our business about 2 p.m.

Weapprove the following note of encouragement:

Weencourage Christine Ashley to proceed with the planning and fund-raising forthe construction of a food processing building for the farm. We ask that sheinclude estimated costs in the budget for the coming year.

Theclerk thanked Doyle Wilson and Lucy Hansen for their work on this proposedproject.
