Theclerk called the meeting via conference call to consider increasing the amountof the possible loan from the USDA for a new farm building, as costs have risensince we approved the loan last year. The original estimate is no longersufficient.

PhilHenderson shared the view of the Consultation & Finance Committee that weshould not consider increasing the size of the building by an additional(third) apartment.

Ifthe School is able to do some of the work in-house (it is possible that MarkShanahan could do the foundation, for instance), Christine and Roger Laughlinbelieve the old farmhouse could be demolished and the new building completed ifthe loan were for $268,000, of which the School would have to provide $26,800or 10%.

AllanWinder expressed a concern that we be transparent with the USDA about the waysthe money will be used. We agreed with him. Lucy Hansen will accompanyChristine Ashley and Amanda Paul to the USDA offices to further discuss thepossible loan.

Minute: We approve the loan of $268,000 minus 10%.
