Approved Minutes

6 November 2010

 

Present: ClaireCumbie-Drake, Ruth Dawson, Debbie Galusha, Frank Griffith, Lucy Hansen, PhilHenderson, Russ Leckband, Callie Marsh, Sylvia Sanford, Doyle Wilson, BobWinchell, Allan Winder, George Bergus, Steve Tamari.

Theclerk opened the meeting near the appointed time with a period of quietworship. She then read the following quotation:

Weare invited to Bob WinchellÕs and T.C. RushÕs wedding at Bear Creek Meeting at11:30, Saturday, November 27, 2010. A potluck meal will follow. Congratulations to their marriage.

 

         Minute:We approved the minutes of our Septembermeeting.

 

         Minute:We approve the operating and capital budgets, excluding the $5000for the farm well in the capital budget.      

 

         TheHuman Resources subcommittee will begin its evaluation of Christine in Decemberusing a format similar to what was used last year for the Interim Head.  The results will be shared with theCommittee at the January meeting.

 

         LarryMarsh and Allan Winder will join Matt Brown in making a long-range assessmentof the facilities.  We thank Larryfor his volunteering on this task.

 

         DougMichener, a former staff who currently resides in Colorado, has offered to do avideo survey of the schoolÕs sewer system.

 

         Thead hoc strategic planning committee of Phil, George, and Debbie has been askedto reconvene and address the issue of how to best integrate and represent thelong range plan and strategic plan.

 

Weappreciate the work of the sub-committees and the thoughtful reports from thestaff.

        

Theclerk closed the meeting with a period of quiet worship. We look forward tomeeting again on January 22, 2011.
