Should not we Quaker educators seek to educate ourstudents

to live a life of inner certainty and authority thatcomes from

the development and transformation of the self froman end

into means for goodness?  By encouraging a youthto be

educable and reflectively open to the inward word, todevelop

an unassailable personal and ethical integrity, tofind his [sic]

identity within a community of value, could we notbetter

prepare our students to live lives of intensepassion,

religious devotion, and corporate commitment?
